Chef Dennis Johnston of FID Kitchen and I were standing in the pasture, overlooking the Kennetcook River, musing: “Wouldn’t it be fun to host a dinner right here at MacDougall Meadows, where guests could enjoy naturally grown meat and produce right here on the farm where it was raised? The tables could be right here in the field, and the produce featured in the dinner would have been harvested hours earlier…”
After all, you really can’t get any more local than that! And to add to the experience, everything will be cooked on an open fire, right in front of the guests! And we’ll have wine available for purchase from Jake’s neighbour, Avondale Sky Winery!
That conversation has led to our first
MacDougall Meadows-FID Kitchen Farm-to-Table Dinner!

Dress: Farm Dress (appropriate footwear highly recommended)
Price: $70 per person + HST ($35 pp deposit required for reservation)
